Andhra Pradesh budget and economy
Farming is a large part of Andhra Pradesh's economy. The fertile Godavari and Krishna deltas grow rice, and the state is a leading producer of chillies (Guntur), mangoes, bananas and other fruit. Andhra Pradesh is also India's largest producer of farmed fish and shrimp, much of it exported.
Services, trade and transport are growing, helped by ports at Visakhapatnam, Gangavaram and Krishnapatnam and a long coastline.
