Uttaranchal

Called as a land of Gods, Uttaranchal is a state of natural beauty blessed with magnificent glaciers, majestic snow-clad mountains, gigantic and ecstatic peaks, valley of flowers, skiing slopes and dense forests. It is carved out of the state of Uttar Pradesh and it chiefly consists of two hilly divisions, Kumaon and Garhwal.  International borders touched by the border of the state are Tibet and Nepal.  Neighbor states are Himachal Pradesh and Utter Pradesh.  It spans an area of 53,566 kmē  and population over  8,479,562   The state capital is Dehra Dun. The Mahakali River, running along its eastern boundary, forms the Indo-Nepal international border.  A picturesque state, with a breathtaking panoramic view of Himalayas, Uttaranchal promises its tourists a visit full of fun and unforgettable moments.
